Are you thinking about taking your business international?

Would you be BETTER PREPARED if you could learn about what exporting involves before you committed?

Wouldn’t it be great if there were an exporting overview program specifically designed for owners and managers of small- and medium-sized businesses looking to export a product or service overseas?

Metro Richmond Exports Initiative (MREI) is excited to announce Exporting 101!
In partnership with the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), Exporting 101 is an interactive instructor-led seminar specifically designed to provide business owners/managers with a high-level understanding of what it takes to export a product or service.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Pinpoint the best international markets for your products or services
  • Clear customs
  • Avoid legal and financial pitfalls
  • Manage terms of payment and currency fluctuations
  • Use export assistance programs available to Virginia-based companies

Export 101 sessions will be led by industry experts who’ll give real-world examples to cover subject matter. Seminars will be offered twice a year and the cost of Export 101 is $269. MREI does offer a limited number of $200 reimbursement scholarships for qualified businesses, making the final cost only $69.

The next seminar will be in November running three consecutive days, 4-hours each day; on the 6th, 7th, and 8th from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

The seminar will take place on the Reynolds Community College Campus at CCWA – Workforce Development and Conference Center located at 1651 E Parham Rd Ste 103 Richmond, VA 23228.
